Used Toyota Harrier

The Harrier concept sport luxury vehicle (SLV) was introduced in February of 1997. It was meant to be a prototype crossover sport utility vehicle (SUV). This was because the Harrier has all the qualities of three vehicles: an SUV, a wagon, and a sedan, making it one of the most versatile and flexible vehicle models to date. It was also called the Lexus RX 300. The Harrier was made available in 1998 and 1999. It came in four-wheel and two-wheel drive versions. Two engines were offered with the model, the 2.2-litre 5S-FE I4 and the 3.0-litre 1MZ-FE V6. The first engine has an output of 139 hp and its torque is pegged at 140 lb/ft. The second engine, on the other hand, produces 219 hp and a torque of 224 lb/ft. The latter engine version proved to be the favorite among those who sought the Harrier by reason of the increased power and capability, especially when traveling in the mountains. Five-speed automatic transmission came as a standard in all models of the Harrier. The interior of the Harrier is something to be desired. It included leather upholstery for the seats and side panels, wood trimmings, a central panel having multiple levels and with multiple storage drawers, as well individual reclining front seats and sliding rear seats. As an innovation, the shift lever was removed from the floor and was transferred to the instrument panel, saving a lot of floor space. The sound system can rival that of indoor studios with the installation of Pioneer sound system speakers as a standard. The instrument panel is covered by a variety of electronic equipment. Besides the usual stereo system and the air conditioning panel, a lot of enhancements may also be installed for maximum comfort and entertainment. The exterior of the Harrier is also a work of art. Heated mirrors are mounted on the sides. Also, the installation of light-sensing headlights make night driving a lot more convenient. These headlights are able to sense incoming vehicles by reason of their headlights. To avoid blinding those incoming, the sensors adjust the headlight beam accordingly. Despite the height of the vehicle, it was very easy to board since the step-in levels are closer to the ground. The suspension system of the used Toyota Harrier proves to be the perfect fit for the vehicle. It gives the vehicle a high elevation for off-road driving, and yet it keeps the body close to the ground to maintain a low center of gravity for more stability and safety in driving.
